We started our new writer's notebook this morning at our sit spots in the wetlands. I'm really looking forward to our our planting day next week with the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority, Please return your photo release forms for this event if you haven't already.

Next week I will be evaluating you, individually, on the drumming levels we have been working on and your basic drum set pattern.

Math
Homework today is to finish up the fraction flag that we started in class.
Tomorrow will be an in-class assessment. Please make sure you are comfortable with common denominators and dividing up a space or shape into fractions visually as well as mathematically (like on the flag). This will be an open discussion assessment. In other words, you will be able to talk it over with others in the class. I will also be assessing you contributions and "math talk".
